Odd Dream

I seriously have had the weirdest dreams lately. So the latest occurred this morning, and I know that for a fact because I woke up and fell back asleep between 8 and 10 (ARGH, of course I can't sleep in on the weekends anymore due to subbing, now my body is used to waking itself up for school).

Anyway.

Brett, Jay, some guy I don't know in real life but knew in this dream and I all lived in a big house together. Not like, a mansion or anything, but a house larger than any of us would be able to afford at this juncture in our lives. And we had a butler. So whenever you went into our house, you had to take your shoes off in the big entry way and he'd take them for you. I know, right. Anyway, Brett and I go shopping and this girl, her sister and her friend were in the same store, I think we were at Banana Republic. This girl was being a heinous BITCH to everyone. She was just being rude, and she had wanted to check the size on this sweater so instead of waiting for a sales clerk, she climbs up onto the display and checks. I was looking at the same sweater but in a different color so since she was up there I was like, "Would you mind handing me the purple one?" She jumps down and is like, "Do it yourself." Wow. Anyway, I'm not sure where Brett was but I find him and I was like, "Dude, she's a bitch and she's annoying me, let's go to another store." But Brett is totally fixated on her as she is complaining loudly and bumping into people and in general being a jerk to everyone while her friend and her sister are laughing. I go about my shopping and Brett is too and a while later she comes up to me and is like, "So you think I'm an annoying bitch?" and she just stares at me so then I was like, "Yeah, I do and I think you're acting like an idiot and being rude to everyone." Her response is, "Well, you're boyfriend seems to like it." And before I can explain that Brett is not my boyfriend, I realize I don't have to explain anything to this girl because she is PSYCHOTIC and it wouldn't matter. If anyone had done what she was doing in real life in a real store, security would have been called. She was just acting completely nuts. Anyway, so I am pissed and Brett and I leave the store and he and I get in this big argument about why was he telling this random girl stuff I said and I don't even know why we were arguing because we were also saying stuff in the dream that doesn't make sense to me in real life, so our lives in this dream must not be remotely parallel to our lives in the real world. Besides, I think it was pretty obvious from the part about us having a butler though that this was some Doppellgangland anyway.

Anyway.

So we're standing in this hallway of the mall (we definitely were not in Lincoln either. I'm not sure exactly where but I had a New York driver's license, but I don't remember what city in New York we were living in, but we were definitely in Suburbia) and we're in this huge argument and I told him I was going home and he could catch a ride with his new skanky psychotic girlfriend and he said I was being silly and that fine I could do whatever I wanted and he starts to walk away and I was sitting in this chair by the exit and glaring and he walks about three steps from me and then leans against the wall and sits down and looks at me and asks why we have been fighting all the time lately. I didn't have an answer and just shrugged and then neither of us talked for a while. Finally Brett is like, "We're going to get pizza, come with us." And I didn't want to be around this crazy girl who apparently was Brett's new BFF but we went and I had these cinnamon sticks from Domino's.

Finally this girl annoys me to the point I want to hit her and I just look at Brett and tell him I am leaving and the girl and her cohorts are like, "Yeah, let's go hang out at your house." I glare at Brett again and he shrugs and I walk off, way ahead of the group and Brett stays back with them. He goes with them in their car and I am in mine alone because I beat them out to the parking lot. I get back to our house first and I'm standing in this room (you know how it happens when you go from one place to another in your dream but don't know how you got to that point? Yeah, it's like that. I was in my car driving, I blinked, and was in my house.) I am standing in this room talking to Jay and the whole room is just windows over-looking a river because we live on an effing cliff and this part of the house actually hangs over the cliff. I think in real life that would be very nerve-wracking but in my dream it was peachy. I am telling Jay everything that happened at the mall and he's telling me to calm down and then our other roommate who I don't know even know the name of comes in eating a bowl of cereal and wearing a robe.

Then I woke up.

Strange, huh? I'm sure it all means something, but maybe not. Maybe it's just one of those you have to file under WTF because it makes no sense whatsoever.
